this morning was the annual east millcreek lion's club easter egg hunt. it was a particularly cold, windy morning. i'd blame global cooling, but no one believes in that. they believe in the easter bunny but not that.
my mom has been in charge of the easter egg hunt for the last 3 years. this will probably be her last year, because she and my dad want to serve an lds mission next year. she stresses out about it every year, and it is a lot of work, but only because tradition makes it hard to do things a different way.
tradition?
it's a funny thing what little things become habit and then tradition.
heather, my little sister, asked me what we usually do for easter and i told her that the easter bunny leaves us nickels. she asked, why nickels? the answer, tradition. who knows where it comes from, you could make up a story about how each cent symbolizes a part of the easter story, but that's just bogus.
i'm hungry right now. i really want some pizza. it's 10:30 in the morning and i want pizza. what's wrong with me.
